About Blue Heaven Woodworks
Blue Heaven Woodworks, based in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, is a full-service woodworking shop, producing fine and rustic furniture, lodge accessories, carpentry, and finish work both in-shop and on-site. We're nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, a stone's throw off the Blue Ridge Parkway. My shop is open year-round and visitors are always welcome to stop by, chat, and see my work.
At Blue Heaven, I have a passion for my work. Each piece is uniquely designed for the customer, who chooses the finish, the wood, and the style. Using a combination of power and hand tools, each creation is crafted to express the beauty of the wood while maintaining the quality and durability expected from a master craftsman.
Meet Jay Haynes, Owner

Here's how I started my business. I was born on the coast of North Carolina, growing up as a part of a military family. My father was a Marine Corps pilot. I served as a police officer in north Florida as a career, but I had a passion for woodworking which I pursued as a hobby for years.
In 1998, I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and started a residential interior trim business, where I also built entertainment centers and furniture. I made the move to the North Carolina mountains in 2003, where I began building furniture full-time. I built a 2,000 square foot shop, bought a sawmill and the rest, as they say, is history.
I invite you to plan a vacation to the mountains and drop by Blue Heaven Woodworks to meet me and visit my showroom.
